Biography

Kathryn Lynch has been practicing family law in Tampa, FL since 2012. Ms. Lynch is a dedicated and compassionate attorney who works hard to protect the rights of her clients. She understands the difficulties and emotional phases clients endure during the legal process. She is dedicated to helping families through difficult times. Kathryn's goal is to represent every client with care, compassion, and attention to detail.

Ms. Lynch is a fourth generation Floridian and is an active participant in the Family Law legal community. She is a member of the Florida Bar and specifically the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. She is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Marital & Family Law Section, the Young Lawyers' Division and the Collaborative Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association.

Ms. Lynch has been elected to the Hillsborough County Bar Association's Marital and Family Law Section Executive Council for both the 2017-2018 and 2018-2021 terms. She is a member of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and Hillsborough Association of Women Lawyers. Ms. Lynch is trained in the Collaborative Divorce process and is a member of Next Generation Divorce, a group of collaborative divorce professionals who help resolve divorce and other family law matters through a non-litigated, peaceful, and respectful team-based approach. Kathryn is also a member of the Stann Givens Family Law Inns of Court.

Ms. Lynch was selected as a 2017, 2018 and 2019 Florida Super Lawyers Rising Star. She volunteers with the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association. She also serves as a pro bono attorney with Crossroads for Florida Kids, which is a non-profit organization that represents poor children and young adults in the Hillsborough County area.

Ms. Lynch earned her Juris Doctor from American University's Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. During law school, Ms. Lynch spent a summer in Buenos Aires, Argentina, volunteering with local youth living in poverty. While she was a student attorney in Washington College of Law's Women in the Law Clinic, she fought to represent low-income clients in family disputes in D.C. Superior Court. Kathryn Lynch also advocated for children's rights in Washington D.C. and Maryland under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act. She represented the parents of children with disabilities such as autism, learning disabilities, and emotional disturbances and worked with school districts to put the appropriate Special Education services in place for them. After she graduated from law school, Ms. Lynch started her professional career at the US Department of Energy as a Freedom of Information Act Analyst in the Loan Programs Office.
